After the tragic passing of Adam Johnson, the hockey community has been quickly working to review requirements for protective gear. Many local organizations have already passed mandates for neck guards to be worn by all players. In turn, the MCHL will also be requiring neck guards for all players beginning November 11, 2023.
No player will be permitted on the ice for an MCHL game without a neck guard after November 10, 2023, however, we strongly encourage neck guards to be worn immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.
