The inaugural Metro Columbus Hockey League playoff tournament is quickly approaching, with action slated to take place the weekend of February 25-26, 2023.
All games will be played at Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena in Newark, with the U10 division kicking off the action at 8 a.m. Saturday, February 25.
Every team qualifies for the playoffs, which will be conducted as a single-elimination tournament.

MCHL Playoff Tournament Rules
- All teams qualify for their division’s playoff tournament.
- The playoff bracket will run single-elimination style.
- Higher seeds will be the home team and will wear light jerseys.
- Lower seeds will be the visiting team and will wear dark jerseys.
- Periods will be 13 minutes each, with a stopped clock.
- Minor penalties will be 90 seconds.
- In the event of a tie, a 5-minute 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime will be played.
- If sudden-death overtime ends in a tie, a 3-round shootout will occur and continue until the tie is broken.
- Home teams are responsible for clock, scoresheet and music.
